Introducing Murray Mulch

Murray Mulch

Murray Mulch

Sustainable Value Mulch made for WA

Product Description:

Murray Mulch is a value mulch made sustainably sourced Western Australian timber by-products. Designed to protect your soil and promote plant health, Murray Mulch offers a long-lasting, eco-friendly solution for gardens, landscapes, viticulture and horticulture applications.

Why Murray Mulch?

C-Wise, The Carbon Company, is committed to providing sustainable solutions for a greener future.

Mulches primary role is to cool the soil surface, it creates a barrier filtering direct sunlight assisting in a more favourable environment for plant roots and soil microbial activity.

This mulch is non-composted, crafted from a blend of WA hardwood (approximately 80%) and soft log, resulting in a rich brown colour. Murray Mulch is a contaminant-free, attractive, and durable option and can be effortlessly spread using conventional methods or advanced blower and slinger trucks.

**It is sourced from the Polyphagus shot-hole borer free zone, therefore ensuring no spread of the invasive pest.**

Features:

    • Long-Lasting: Slow decomposition rate provides extended ground cover and protection.

    • Moisture Retention: acting as a solar blanket it conserves water, reducing evaporation and cooling the soil surface temperature

    • Erosion Control: Creates a protective barrier that slows water infiltration and run off preventing soil erosion and nutrient loss.

    • Weed Suppression: Suppresses weed growth, reducing competition for resources.

    • Sustainably Sourced: Made from renewable WA timber, supporting local forestry practices.

Benefits:

    • Economics: Long-lasting value mulch providing large coverage and reduces the need for frequent reapplication.

    • Water: Improves water retention, reducing irrigation needs and promoting plant health during dry periods.

    • Soil structure: Retains soil moisture and reduces the soil surface temperature effectively creating a buffering effect in the soil microbial habitat.

    • Nutrients Enhances soil fertility as it breaks down, creating a food source for microbes to ultimately assist plant root uptake

    • Carbon: Adds organic carbon to the soil, improving soil health and contributing to carbon sequestration.

Nitrogen BOOST – Murray Feeding Mulch

For vineyards seeking an extra boost Add in C-Wise Mushroom Compost and create a feeding mulch. Murray feeding mulch combines the moisture-saving benefits of mulch with the nutrient-rich power of Mushroom compost for an all-in-one solution. This special blend nourishes your vines as the finer particles of the straw based Mushroom component are solubilised through rainfall and atmospheric dew translocation processes giving a slow release of essential nutrients. This ultimately boosts biological processes promoting stronger vine growth and improving fruit quality.
