Application
C-Wise Hort Blend is designed to be broadcast through a conventional belt spreader and incorporated into the soil before planting or alternatively may be precision banded alongside the planting row for more targeted results. For smaller treatment areas, the product can be spread and incorporated manually before planting.

Commercial Growers
In Production Hort Blend apply at 10-20m3/ha between crops at bed preparation, then lightly incorporate into the top 50-100mm before planting to maintain soil performance. If precision banding product into planting row, apply at 5-10m3/ha and incorporate lightly before planting. Fertiliser programs will need to be reduced to maximise cost savings and soil performance benefits. Discuss with C-Wise to develop the best approach in your circumstances. In orchards, vineyards and other perennial crops, C-Wise Hort Blend can be used both as a soil conditioner before planting and a top dressing for maintenance applications throughout the year. Rates will be dependent on crop type, soil conditions and planting method. Discuss with C-Wise for tips and information on best practice for particular crops.

Professional Landscapers
C-Wise Hort Blend is a versatile soil improver for establishment and maintenance of all types of plantings including turf, shrubs, vegetables and fruit trees. For garden beds, new turf and general landscaping, spread a 5-10mm thick layer of C-Wise Hort Blend across soil surface and incorporate to a depth of 50-100mm, then water thoroughly before planting. For individual plants, shrubs and trees, mix 1 part C-Wise Horticulture with 10 parts original soil and use as a planting mix around root zone. As a potting mix ingredient, blend Hort Blend at up to 25% of soil mix volume to significantly improve fertility and water holding capacity.
